NPDES Event Calendar & Public Notices

North Carolina General Statutes 143.215.1 and Administrative Code 15A NCAC 02H.0109 require the Division to provide public notice of permitting actions through local newspapers. The NPDES unit uses this webspace to announce publications in newspapers on a biweekly schedule.

Public comments are due 30 days from the date these notices were published in the newspapers.  Actual date of publication may vary by newspaper.  The date of notice shown below represents the date the unit requested publication.

The Division has made an attempt to post notices in the following newspaper(s): Times News The firm of B Everett Jordan & Son-1927 LLC [P.O. Box 128, Saxapahaw, NC 27340] has requested renewal of permit NC0042528 for the Saxapahaw WWTP in Alamance County. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to the Haw River in the Cape Fear River Basin. Currently BOD, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, oil & grease, dissolved oxygen, total phosphorus and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Haw River.
