The North Carolina Division of Water Resources is seeking public comment on its 303(d) listing methodology. The listing methodology, in conjunction with water quality standards and water quality data, is used to determine whether waters are impaired and require a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), or TMDL alternative. Public comments will be considered by DWR staff.

Interested parties may email comments to andy.painter@ncdenr.gov. Please keep in mind that the listing methodology must be consistent with Federal and State requirements, including North Carolina water quality standards. Commenters are encouraged to review NC’s 2014 303(d) listing methodology and 2014 303(d) list supplemental information before submitting comments.
