EVENT INFO: December 12; 1:30-3:30 p.m.; Lee Dukes Water Treatment Plant, 7980 Babe Stillwell Road, Huntersville, NC Please RSVP. WHAT: The Environmental Management Commission (EMC) and the Division of Water (DWQ) are in the process of developing a plan that lays out steps for establishing water quality standards, or criteria, to control nutrient pollution in lakes, streams and estuaries. Information is being gathered from a variety of sources including a two-day May 2012 Forum on nutrient over-enrichment of surface waters sponsored by the EMC. Three public information/input sessions are being offered on December 4th, 12th and 17th. Each session will provide background information and allow for questions and comments. Please RSVP for the session(s) that you will be attending. ALSO: Additional input will be accepted from December 4th through February 4th.
