New River Basin Coalition (NRBC)

The New River Basin Coalition began monitoring in August 2011.  They currently sample four stations monthly for temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, turbidity, fecal coliform and nutrients.  The coalition plans to use their data to evaluate, recommend and assist with implementation of management strategies that will reduce and/or manage pollutant discharge into the basin, and ensure the continued high quality of the basin’s water resources.
