High Rock Lake Nutrient Management Strategy High Rock Lake is impaired for chlorophyll-a due to nutrient overenrichment. DWQ is in the process of working with a Technical Advisory Committee to develop the tools that will be used to determine nutrient loading reduction targets and relative contributions of nutrient loading by sources (e.g, urban areas, agriculture, forest, wastewater discharges, etc.). Upon completion of the tools, DWQ will begin a stakeholder process to develop the Nutrient Management Strategy. This process is not expected to begin until sometime in 2014. Subscribe to Stakeholder Email List Due to the size of the watershed and the number of stakeholder interests, DWQ is starting to compile a High Rock Lake stakeholder email list. This email list will be used to announce stakeholder meetings and other items of interest. If you would like to be on this list, please send a blank email to DENR.HighRockLake-subscribe@lists.ncmail.net and reply to the confirmation email you receive. The email list is an information producing effort only and it is currently not possible for list members to post to the listserv.
