Name: Proposed Revisions of Injection Well Construction Standards

WHAT: A public hearing to gather comments on proposed revisions of the well construction standards applicable to injection wells. The proposed changes include organizational improvements, editorial corrections, updated technical standards, and amendments needed to comply with the minimum federal requirements. Economic analyses of the proposed rule changes indicate significant net savings to the State and regulated community. WHERE: The hearing will be in the BB&T Auditorium of the Cape Fear Community College, 4500 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne; on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m. COMMENTS: Those attending the public hearing may provide verbal or written comments. For oral comments, speaker registration begins at 6:00p.m. The hearing officers may limit the time for verbal comments, if needed, so that all who wish to have an opportunity to speak. Written comments may also be sent to the address given in this notice at anytime during the public comment period. The comment period ends January 13, 2012.
