The Division has made an attempt to post notices in the following newspaper(s): Asheville Citizen-Times Cherokee Scout The Tennessee Valley Authority (Hiwassee Dam, Hiwassee Village, North Carolina) has applied for a renewal of NPDES Permit NC0027359 for Hiwassee Hydro Plant in Cherokee County. This permitted facility discharges once-through water to the Hiwassee River within the Hiwassee River Basin. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Hiwassee River.
