The Yadkin/Pee Dee River Basin Association has monitored the Yadkin/Pee Dee basin, from the headwaters to the South Carolina border, since June 1998. The association currently monitors seventy-one stations monthly for dissolved oxygen, turbidity, fecal coliform, and other water quality parameters. Details on the monitoring can be found in the Memorandum of Agreement.
YPDRBA members have also supported water quality improvement efforts within the basin through stream restoration projects and participation in watershed planning. Currently the association is working with DWQ and Alcoa in the development of a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for High Rock Lake.
Note to data users - please contact coalition coordinators before using YPDRBA data from July 1, 2001 through August 31, 2010.
