08/13/2014 - Division of Water Infrastructure October 2014 Funding Round Announcement
The Division of Water Infrastructure is now accepting applications for the next funding cycle for the Community Development Block Grant - Infrastructure (CDBG-I) program, Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program, and State Grant (DWHUC, DWTAG, WWHUC, WWTAG) programs. Applications for all programs are due in our office by the close of business on Thursday, October 2, 2014. 08/13/14 - Notice of Public Review of modifications to the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Intended Use Plan, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Intended Use Plan, and State Grant Program Priority Rating Systems
Session Law 2014-100 modified the 2014 CWSRF and DWSRF Intended Use Plans and the funding priorities for the State Grant Programs. Public comments are being accepted on these modifications until September 10, 2014 at 5 PM. The modifications consist of providing priority for projects directly addressing an EPA administrative order for local government applicants located in a Tier 1 county. All priority changes will become effective with the October 2014 funding round.

08/11/2014 - Public Comment Period Opens for Substantial Amendment to 2014 Annual Action Plan for the DENR CDBG-I Water Infrastructure Grant Program
Session Law 2014-100 modified the 2014 CDBG-I Annual Action Plan and public comments are being accepted on the modification until September 10, 2014 at 5 PM. The modifications include:
06/11/2014 – Application Training for Funding Programs to be Held on July 23, 2014
The Division of Water Infrastructure (Division) will hold a training session on the application process for funding programs administered by the Division: Federal Clean Water SRF, Federal Drinking Water SRF, State High Unit Cost and Technical Assistance Grants for both wastewater and drinking water, and Community Development Block Grants for Infrastructure (CDBG-I). The training session will begin at 9 AM on Wednesday July 23rd in the Archdale Building Ground Floor Hearing Room (512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC). The applications for these programs will be accepted in September 2014; deadlines will be announced soon. 05/14/2014 - Projects Approved for Funding by State Water Infrastructure Authority at its May 12, 2014 Meeting
At its meeting on May 12, 2014, the State Water Infrastructure Authority (SWIA) approved the funding of 41 projects under four funding programs, totaling $63,442,565. Click here for a summary of the projects funded.
03/04/2014 - April 1, 2014 State Grant Program Application Round Announcement and Application Workshop
The Division of Water Infrastructure (Division) is accepting applications for High Unit Cost Grants and Technical Assistance Grants under the State Grant Program until April 1, 2014. Funding may be made available to both Drinking Water and Wastewater projects. Application material should be available on the Division website by March 7, 2014. In addition, the Division will be holding application training on March 5, 2014 at 1:30pm in the Ground Floor Hearing Room at the Archdale Building (Raleigh, NC). 03/04/2014 - CWSRF and DWSRF Intended Use Plans
The North Carolina Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the North Carolina Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) are providing notice of the draft Intended Use Plans (IUPs) for Federal Fiscal Year 2014. The IUPs, in addition to other US EPA requirements, provide a basic framework for the operation of the CWSRF and the DWSRF in North Carolina. Changes are being proposed to the current IUPs. 02/26/2014 - CDBG Infrastructure Grant Application Dates
The Division of Water Infrastructure (Division) has established two application dates for CDGB-I grants: April 1 for grants to be awarded in May, and May 1 for grants to be awarded in July. For additional application information, refer to the CDBG-I webpage.
02/21/2014 - CDBG Infrastructure Grants "How to Apply" Workshops
The Division of Water Infrastructure (Division) will be holding training on the application process for Community Development Block Gratns for infrastructure projects on February 28 in Raleigh, March 3 in Kinston, and March 5 in Spindale. 02/10/2014 - April 1, 2014 CWSRF Funding Round Announcement and Application Workshop
The Division of Water Infrastructure (Division) is now accepting applications for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) due on April 1, 2014. In addition, the Division will be holding application training on February 27, 2014 at the Rural Economic Development Center. More information can be found in the following announcement:
01/16/2014 - September 2013 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Applications
The division has completed reviews of the September 2013 Drinking Water SRF and Clean Water SRF applications. Below is the final application lists for each program. Notification letters of either a Notice of Intent to Fund or a Notice of Unsuccessful Application are being mailed to all applicants. Projects on the final project list that include a funding amount in the Green Project Reserve, Principal Forgiveness, and/or Base columns are those that will receive Notice of Intent to Fund letters.
