Enabling Legislation for the Sustainable Communities Task Force
The Sustainable Communities Task Force is composed of 13 members who are appointed from across state. Appointments are made by the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House. Additionally, the departments of Administration, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Transportation and the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, all have representatives on the Task Force. The Task Force is chaired by the NCDENR.
The legislation defines the membership, purpose, duties and reporting requirements of the North Carolina Sustainable Communities Task Force. It also establishes the North Carolina Sustainable Communities Grant Fund.
