The Northeast Central Durham (NECD) Livability Initiative is a citizen-driven initiative that provides sustainable development projects for NECD. The initiative's vision is to create and improve access to jobs, affordable housing, healthy foods, walkable neighborhoods and open spaces; to increase educational opportunities; and to improve mass transit and regional transportation.
