The North Carolina Natural Heritage Program serves as a clearinghouse for biodiversity and conservation data across the state. Our database houses information collected by Heritage Staff as well as a wide array of partners. We rely on professional biologists and volunteers to share information that will keep our database accurate and up-to-date.
Submit information about any of North Carolina's rare species, natural communities, or priority conservation areas. These forms may be used to contribute specifc data about rare plants and rare animals.
Contact the Natural Heritage Program with ideas for natural heritage research that you could conduct or with questions about information we can provide.
