The MRC annually reviews its goals and objectives for the coming year and amends them as necessary.

Mission

The mission of the North Carolina Mountain Resources Commission is to take care of our natural resources to enhance and sustain quality of life and ensure the long-term health of our region and our people.

The Commission is tasked with providing recommendations to local, state and federal legislative and administrative entities regarding protection of these resources.
