The language of draft rules are posted to this page once they have been voted on and approved by a committee of the Mining and Energy Commission.  Once approved by the Environmental Standards Committee, the Water and Waste Management Committee, the Administration of Oil and Gas Committee or the Mining Committee, a rule must be reviewed and approved by both the Rules Committee and the full Mining and Energy Commission before it can be considered approved by the Mining and Energy Commission.  Once the Commission has approved all rules required by S.L. 2012-143, the complete package will be published in the North Carolina Register and undergo a formal public comment process before they are adopted.
