H. CORE SOUND, BACK SOUND AND THE STRAITS – outside of the primary and special secondary nursery areas and trawl nets prohibited areas described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rules 15A NCAC 03R .0103, .0105, and .0106 for these areas and as described below. (Maps 6, 7 and 11)
1. Cedar Island Bay – northwest of the special secondary nursery area line described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03R .0105 (4) (a). (Map 7)
2. Rumley Bay - southeast of a line beginning at a point 34° 55.7696’ N – 76° 17.7016’ W; running northeasterly to a point 34° 56.2526’ N – 76° 17.1788’ W. (Map 7)
3. East Thorofare Bay-Barry Bay - northwest of the special secondary nursery area line described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03R .0105 (4) (b). (Map 7)
4. Nelson Bay – northwest of the special secondary nursery area line described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03R .0105 (4) (c). (Map 7)
5. Brett Bay – north of the special secondary nursery area line described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03R .0105 (4) (d). (Map 7)
6. Oyster Creek – southeast from Highway 70 Bridge. (Map 7 and Map 11)
7. Jarrett Bay – north of the special secondary nursery area line described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03R .0105 (4) (e). (Map 11)
I. BEAUFORT INLET AREA – outside of the primary, permanent secondary and special secondary nursery areas described in N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rules 15A NCAC 03R .0103, .0104,.0105 for the North and Newport river areas and .0106 for the Newport River and as described below. (Map 11)
1. Wading Creek – west of a line beginning at a point 34° 45.0110’ N - 76° 39.4690’ W; running southerly to a point 34° 44.8850’ W – 76° 39.4690’ W. (Map 11)
2. Gable Creek – northwest of a line beginning at a point 34° 44.2840’ N - 76° 39.9180’ W; running northeasterly to a point 34° 44.5672’ N - 76° 39.6105’ W. (Map 11)
J. BOGUE SOUND AREA:
1. outside the area bounded by a line beginning at a point 34° 43.5095’ N - 76° 46.8000’ W on the west shore of the mouth of Peletier Creek; running south to a point 34° 43.3551’ N - 76° 46.8106’ W near Marker “2” on the Peletier Creek entrance channel; running westerly along the north side of the Intracoastal Waterway marked channel to a point 34° 40.8097’ N - 77° 01.7910’ W near Marker ”40”; running northwesterly to a point 34° 40.9250’ N - 77° 01.8850’ W near Guthrie Point; running northerly along the shoreline back to the point of beginning including all tributaries. 2. outside the area bounded by a line beginning at Intracoastal Waterway Marker ”31”; running southerly to a point 34° 40.9000’ N – 76° 58.6666’ W on Long Island; running southwesterly to a point 34° 40.5408’ N – 77° 00.3804’ W on Long Marsh; running northwesterly to a point 34° 41.1666’ N – 77° 00.7000’ W on the spoil island near Beacon ”37”; running northeasterly along the south side of the spoil islands to the point of beginning.
