Fisheries committee to meet to define a commercial fisherman

MOREHEAD CITY — A committee made up of members of the N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Jan. 11 at the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries’ Central District Office, 5285 Highway 70 West, Morehead City.

The committee is meeting to develop a definition of a commercial fisherman. The commission voted to form this committee at its November Meeting and to bring back a report to the full commission in February.

The meeting will not include a public comment period.
