Telephone Outage Planned for Marine Patrol Dispatch Office
MOREHEAD CITY — The phones at the N.C. Marine Patrol dispatch office will be out of service for several hours March 23 while power workers replace a transformer at the state Division of Marine Fisheries headquarters office in Morehead City.
During this outage, fishermen and others who wish to report a fisheries violation or otherwise need to speak to a Marine Patrol officer should call 910-520-8812.
The power outage will render all phone lines at the division’s headquarters and central district offices temporarily out of service, including the main numbers 800-682-2632 and 252-726-7021.
Division staff will begin shutting down power-operated systems at 7 a.m. March 23 in preparation for replacing the transformer. Staff anticipates the work will be completed and phones will return to service by early afternoon March 23.
