N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Advisory Committees
Advisory committees (AC) assist the Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) in the performance of its duties by making recommendations on management issues. The Regional and Standing committees are required by statute and session law (references). The MFC chairman also convenes committees to assist in the development of fishery management plans, and to deal with emerging issues as the commission deems necessary.
