About the Prints
Print production was made possible by the N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission to commemorate the launch of the state's first Coastal Recreational Fishing License and to raise funds to help conserve and protect marine resources.
The Conservation Fund Committee decided it was fitting for the red drum, North Carolina's state saltwater fish, to serve as the subject for the print.
To learn more about the Conservation Fund or to contribute, contact the Division of Marine Fisheries administrative services office at 800-682-2632 or 252-726-7021.
Two varieties of prints are available on heavy art-quality paper:
Standard print: 12"x14" in a series of 3,000 signed and numbered
Artist's Proof: 12"x14" in a series of 150 signed and numbered

About the Marine Fisheries Commission
North Carolina saltwater fisheries rules and regulations are established by the nine-member Marine Fisheries Commission. The makeup of the commission and its advisory committees is equally divided between regions and recreational and commercial user groups. Oversight comes from the General Assembly, the Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the North Carolina Rules Review Commission to guarantee policies and regulations are procedurally and technically sound.
