Energy Mineral and Land Resources

Local Erosion and Sediment Control Programs in North Carolina 

The N.C. Sedimentation Control Commission may delegate authority to implement the Sedimentation Pollution Control Act to cities and counties that adopt a local qualifying erosion and sediment control ordinance in compliance with state requirements. Local program staff performs plan reviews and enforces compliance within their jurisdictions.
