RFQ #295-02-2014 Deadline Extension

ADDENDUM 2: Submittal deadline extension for RFQ #295-02-2014

Due to the January 28th – 29th snowstorm that blanketed the state and the preemptive State of Emergency declaration (http://www.governor.state.nc.us/newsroom/executive-order/20140128/executive-order-no-40-declaration-state-emergency), the submittal deadline for RFQ 295-02-2014 has been extended by two days:

From: 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014

To: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014

Please note that the proposal requirement that stipulates each addendum must be signed and included in the signed addenda section of an offeror’s proposal package (PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS on p. 9 of this RFQ) has been waived for this addendum, because some proposal packages have already been received and other proposal packages are probably in transit.

GNSS Network System Change

The North Carolina GNSS Real Time Network will have its DNS name (rtn1.ncdenr.org) and IP address (207.4.112.18) changed on the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2014.  The change will start around 6:00 AM and should be completed by noon. During the change, the RTN system will not be available for providing real time correction data.  After the change is completed, users will have to use either the new DNS name (rtn.nc.gov) or the new IP address (207.4.96.200) to access the RTN system.  Using the new DNS name is recommended because users using the DNS name will not have to make a change if the IP address changes in the future.  The current DNS name or IP address configured on user equipment will be valid until 6:00 AM on Sunday, January 26, 2014.  The other settings configured such as login, password and port will not change.  This change is warranted because N.C. Geodetic Survey which manages the network was moved from the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources to the N.C. Department of Public Safety.

Also, anyone who accesses the RTN system Web site at http://rtn2.ncdenr.org for registering new users or downloading GNSS correction data from the Reference Data Shop will have to use http://rtnweb.nc.gov after the change mentioned above is completed.
