Green Square

Project Summary

The main components of the Green Square Complex (GSC) are:

  • DENR Office (149,350 square feet) - Located at the Old YWCA Site between Dawson and McDowell and hereby referred to as the DENR Site
  • Nature Research Center, including additional DENR offices (101,040 square feet) - Located at the Old Elks and Thompson Building Site and hereby referred to as the NRC Site.
  • Bridge Connectors from the Existing Museum to the NRC and from the NRC to the DENR Office Building.
  • Two levels of underground state employee parking located under the NRC and the DOA Parking Deck. The 900-space DOA Parking Deck will be located on the corner of Edenton Street and McDowell Street. This is a separate project, but will be integrated as part of the Green Square Complex.
