What are River Basin Restoration Priorities?River Basin Restoration Priorities (RBRPs) are plans that EEP develops to identify priorities for the protection and enhancement of water quality, fisheries, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities. EEP uses the priorities to guide its stream, wetland and riparian restoration and protection activities in the state’s 17 major river basins. Priorities are identified as Targeted Local Watersheds (TLWs). TLWs are watersheds at the 14-digit hydrologic-unit scale that receive priority for EEP planning and restoration project funds. EEP recently updated its methodology for developing RBRPs. For more information, view the RBRP Update page. |
