Preservation Success Stories
EEP and its various public- and private-sector collaborators have helped to conserve
thousands of acres of high-quality natural areas across the state. EEP’s preservation program resulted from a partnership among the N.C. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources, as well as the Conservation Trust for North Carolina and 23 local and regional land trusts across the state.
