LANDOWNERS INFORMATION

EEP works with willing landowners to improve and protect the state’s natural resources. Landowner benefits include permanent protection of the property, as well as other benefits listed in the "Benefits to Landowners" section below.  All projects that receive funding from EEP must be protected forever.

Several choices are available to landowners.  Voluntary agreements between landowners and EEP known as conservation easements are used when landowners wish to retain ownership of their land. Landowners who do not wish to retain ownership may choose outright sale or donation of their land.
