MITIGATION BANKERSCompanies that establish mitigation banks in North Carolina work with EEP by selling compensatory-mitigation credits to the program. EEP purchases credits from banks through two mechanisms: 1) waiver of competition, and 2) a full-delivery procurement process. EEP has established a new proposal to increase opportunities to purchase credits from established mitigation banks. VOLUNTARY MITIGATION BANKING QUESTIONNAIREThe Ecosystem Enhancement Program is seeking to build an inventory of information about mitigation banks. Although much of this information is obtainable from the regulatory agencies, any bank that is interested in selling credits to EEP is asked to fill out the form provided in the link below, and to update it periodically. The data will be used to identify credit providers and is not a soliciation or a request for a letter of interest. EEP makes no representations or implied agreements for procurement through banks; however, this information provides additional data for use in programming procurement strategies. Note that EEP needs the information requested for its current planning cycle, and also that data will need to be updated as new information becomes available. Your comments are welcomed on this new initiative.
