Blue Ridge EMC partners with Watauga County to fund the county’s CFL recycling efforts.
Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative partners with Dare County Solid Waste to provide a collection point for all fluorescent lamps at the Buxton recycling center.
Roanoke Electric Cooperative provides a recycling bucket at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church (per its request) for its members to conveniently dispose of CFLs. Roanoke also works closely with ACE Hardware in Ahoskie, where a recycling bucket is located. This service is free to anyone in the community.
