2015-08-13 through 2015-12-15 Training Environmental Stewardship Initiative EMS Training Modules: The N.C. Environmental Stewardship Initiative has developed EMS guidance materials and a timeline modeled on ISO 14001:2004 as a benefit to its members. To assist in meeting program criteria, five one-day classroom modules were created to provide training on core EMS elements. 2015-06-17 Training EMS 101 & Introduction to Lean and Green Training: The N.C. Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Assistance has developed EMS guidance materials and a timeline modeled on ISO 14001:2004 as a benefit to N.C. Environmental Stewardship Initiative members. EMS 101 was created to introduce the core EMS elements and the ESI program. 2014-05-12 through 2014-06-19 Outreach Guaranteed Energy Savings - Small Performance Contracting Workshops: The NC Chapter of the Energy Services Coalition and the NC Utility Savings Initiative are hosting free ½ day workshops across the State. The workshops are being funded through a grant from the DOE. They are guaranteed energy savings performance contracting workshops setup to review what an ESPC is, how it works, the pros and cons, the process, and the new rules and regulations that have made the process easier for smaller organizations. The reason it is a ½ day is so that entities that are truly interested can get some real insight into the program. The target audience is Community Colleges, Local Governments, and K-12. 2014-04-01 Conference Zeroing in on Waste Reduction: Many manufacturers and other organizations in North Carolina are working on waste reduction efforts to help their financial and environmental bottom line.
