Parks

From the mountains to the sea, North Carolina has many public and private parks and greenways. With the many thousands of tourists visiting North Carolina annually, our state's parks have the unique opportunity to inspire visitors with breathtaking views, great hiking trails, awesome lakes, rivers, beaches, forests and other features that create environmental awareness. Now more than ever, parks are helping visitors to become better stewards of the Earth by providing hands-on educational opportunities, establishing recycling programs and providing environmentally oriented signage and brochures. To find out more about what parks can do to expand visitor environmental awareness, visit the links below.
