The NC GreenTravel Initiative is a free program of the North Carolina Division of Environmental Assistance and Outreach to help promote robust economic growth and environmental stewardship in the travel and hospitality sector through the recognition of "green" travel-oriented businesses. Studies have shown that businesses that incorporate green practices in their daily operations are much more competetive in today's marketplace. If you own or manage a lodging, restaurant, park, attraction or other travel-oriented business, the NC GreenTravel Initiative can help you become more competetive in the green travel arena. Whether your facility is in the mountains, the piedmont or the coastal area of North Carolina, we can help you go green and save green! There is no cost involved in becoming a recognized NC GreenTravel business.
