How Long Is My Permit or License or Certificate Valid? Permits expire on Dec. 31 each year.
Notes/Comments: Some organisms may require a permit/license from the Wildlife Resources Commission(WRC) or N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS)to collect or possess. (Species for which DMF and WRC or DACS have joint jurisdiction, or species which one or the other has entire jurisdiction). A holder of an Aquaculture Collection Permit must have an Aquaculture Operation Permit. The permittee is required to supply the DMF with collection trip logs. Completed logs are to be mailed in at the end of the collection season as listed on the permit.
