Coastal Resources Commission :: Actions from September Meeting


At its September 2007 meeting, the CRC:

  • Adopted for public hearing 15A NCAC 07J .1200 - Static Vegetation Line Exception Procedures.

  • On the recommendation of the Planning and Special Issues Subcommittee, certified a Land Use Plan for the Town of Morehead City.

  • On the recommendation of the Planning and Special Issues Subcommittee, certified a Land Use Plan for the Town of Calabash.

  • On the recommendation of the Planning and Special Issues Subcommittee, certified a Land Use Plan for the Town of Shallotte.

  • Granted a variance to Marsh Barbour Resorts LLC of Brunswick County, who sought relief from the commission’s rules regarding permit renewals, which require “substantial development” on the project in order to issue a renewal.
