CRC Actions from February 2013
At its Feb. 2013 meeting, the CRC:
Granted a variance request from Entrust Freedom, LLC, who sought relief from the commission’s 30-foot buffer rule in order to construct a single-family home in Holden Beach.
Granted a variance request from Jonathan Gindes, who sought relief from the commission’s oceanfront setback rules in order to reinstall a floor system in a two-story open area on the oceanward side of petitioner’s single-family home in North Topsail Beach.
Granted a variance to Allis Holdings, LLC, who sought relief from the commission’s 30-foot buffer rule in order to construct additions to an existing restaurant in Duck, including a wooden pergola and elevated deck.
Certified a Workbook Land Use for the Town of Cedar Point.
Approved for public hearing amendments to 15A NCAC 7H .0312 Sediment Criteria and Fiscal Analysis
Approved amendments to 15A NCAC 7H .0308(a)(2) & 15A NCAC 7H .1705 – Sandbags
Approved a Sea-Level Rise Scope of Work for the CRC Science Panel on Coastal Hazards, for use in updating the panel’s 2010 Sea-Level Rise Report, as required by S.L. 2012-202.
Approved a scope of work for the CRC Science Panel to use as it evaluates the state’s existing and proposed Inlet Hazard Areas, as required by S.L. 2012-202.
