DCM and DWQ partner for Clean Marina workshops

DCM partnered with the Division of Water Quality to hold two Clean Marina workshops for nearly 100 coastal marina

owners this month, in Beaufort on March 1 and in Wilmington on March 7.

The workshops provided marina owners/operators with up-to-date information about CAMA permits, DWQ permit requirements, No Discharge Zone designations, solid and hazardous waste permit requirements, pumpout system information, and DCM’s pumpout grant and Clean Marina programs. 

“The workshop was well received and well attended,” said DCM’s Clean Marina coordinator Pat Durrett. “I believe it really opened up communications between marinas and the various state agencies who attended.”
