Coastal Resources Commission April 2009 meeting in Sunset Beach cancelled, may be rescheduled

The Coastal Resources Commission has cancelled its meeting scheduled for April 29-30 at the Sea Trail Resort and Conference Center in Sunset Beach. This cancellation is due to the recent restrictions on state government travel.

The commission may meet in another location in lieu of the regular meeting. A notice will be posted on the Division of Coastal Management’s Web site and sent to the media when this meeting is confirmed.

Public hearings, originally scheduled for April 29, will not take place in April but will be rescheduled for a future CRC meeting. Those hearings include the following pending rule changes:

  • 15A NCAC 7H .0205 Coastal Wetlands

  • 15A NCAC 7H .0309 Use Standards For Ocean Hazard Areas

  • 15A NCAC 7B .0901 CAMA Land Use Plan Amendments

The Coastal Resources Advisory Council, a group that provides the CRC with local government perspectives and technical advice, will not meet in April.
