Coastal Hazards Science Panel to Meet April 4 in Raleigh

RALEIGH – The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission’s Science Panel on Coastal Hazards will meet April 4 in Raleigh.

The panel, which provides scientific advice to the CRC, will meet from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Room 1H120, 2728 Capitol Blvd., Raleigh. The meeting is open to the public.

On the group’s agenda are the N.C. Division of Coastal Management’s long-term erosion rate update methodology report, discussion of the CRC’s draft sea level rise policy, and existing and future coastal water level gauge locations.

Created by the CRC in 1997, the 13-member science panel is composed of coastal engineers and geologists.
