Mapping Resources
Submerged Aquatic Vegetation Maps
- Coastline SAV mapping efforts supported by the SAV partnership have been completed and the results are available for public use. The map spans the entire North Carolina coast, as well as the Virginia portion of the Albemarle-Pamlico estuary. The map and supporting information can be found at APNEP's Maps page.
- Elizabeth City State University's SAV Cooperative Habitat Mapping Program has a number of resources for SAV researchers, including flight imagery, maps, and GIS shape files.
- NCDENR's Division of Water Quality provides further SAV resources gathered by their Estuarine Monitoring Team. Mapped SAV locations, annual reports, and data collection procedures are available.
