Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program

 Initiatives

The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program provides both funding and staff support for a variety of efforts that support the program's mission.  Though APNEP maintains a small staff, the program is able to leverage its contributions by coordinating with regional partners.  This section highlights these efforts, which are categorized in accordance with APNEP's Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan.  Additionally, APNEP has played a central role in the development and support of two groups: the SAV Partnership and APNEP's Citizen's Monitoring Network.
