Defense Coastal and Estuarine Research Program
The Defense Coastal and Estuarine Research Program (DCERP) is a Department of Defense program with the primary goal of enhancing and sustaining the military mission by developing an understanding of coastal and estuarine ecosystem composition, structure, and function within the context of a military training environment. APNEP staff serves on DCERP’s Regional Coordinating Committee, providing scientific expertise while engaging with other scientists and managers regarding the relationships between military activities and coastal ecosystems.
