 Albemarle-Chowan Watershed Roundtable

Watershed roundtables consist of stakeholders who have a vested interest in their communities and are concerned about local water quality. The Albemarle-Chowan Watershed Roundtable engages stakeholders in the Virginia portions of the Chowan and Pasquotank river basins to collaborate on issues concerning water quality, habitat, and other natural resources within these watersheds. In addition to hosting collaborative meetings, in 2012 the roundtable will conduct rain barrel workshops, hold a watershed awareness event, and offer a teacher training workshop to complement the "Living in Your Watershed" booklets. These booklets, published in 2011 and distributed with APNEP support, offer an overview of the Chowan river basin for elementary school students.

Todd Herbert is APNEP's representative on the Albemarle-Chowan Watershed Roundtable
