TrainingPlanning and Facilitating Collaborative Meetings & Graphic Facilitation Training
The two-day instructor-led Planning and Facilitating Collaborative Meetings course is designed to increase participants' ability to plan and facilitate a meeting (or a series of meetings) that minimize conflict and enhance problem solving. Collaboration is often cited as a good way to address coastal resource management issues, but the collaborative process is complicated, requiring a systematic approach. This course provides the skills and tools to design and implement collaborative approaches. The skills will be useful even when attending, but not running, a collaborative meeting.

OutreachTerrapin Tally 2014
Join a citizen science project! Diamondback Terrapins are a species of concern and there is very little data available about their populations in North Carolina. Participants are needed to paddle pre-planned routes and log Terrapin sightings with their smartphones along the way. This event will provide scientists with valuable information which can be used to track terrapin density and distribution over time. Citizen science training sessions are required prior to participation, and are scheduled for APril 5 and April 10 at the UNC Wilmington Center for Marine Science.
