The Design and Construction unit coordinates the contracting, technical evaluation and environmental permitting of projects in the NCEEP Design-Bid-Build Program. The unit also provides contract oversight and enforcement support to NCEEP Project Management staff throughout project design and construction phases.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Design and Construction Unit staff serve as NCEEP liaisons to the State Construction Office, the N.C. Division of Water Quality, the N.C. Land Quality Section and the N.C. Floodplain Mapping Program.
