Hurricane Irene News - 2 state aquariums closed; 1 aquarium to close tomorrow

· N.C. Aquariums at Roanoke Island and Pine Knoll Shores, and Jennette’s Pier were closed to the public Thursday afternoon due to mandatory evacuations ordered in advance of Hurricane Irene.
· North Carolina’s other state aquarium, which is at Fort Fisher, will be closed to the public Friday and Saturday as Hurricane Irene moves along the Cape Fear Coast.
· All four facilities will remain closed until further notice.
